Finale

Over the years local climbers have discovered new routes in this area and have taken care of the maintenance transforming Final Ligure in one of the most popular and appreciated climbing areas of the world. This approach gave excellent results: the environment has always been respected. There have been agreements between environmental associations and the climbers to limit the climbing activities on certain crags, sometimes to safeguard the nidification of the rapacious birds, sometimes to safeguard certain areas of archaeological or naturalistic importance. Some of the areas, thus, are not on this guidebook, but with over 2000 routes we climbers can easily make the sacrifice. The Finale Ligure climbing area isn’t your average climbing site where you go, climb and then just leave. It’s an incredible area, it has en environment that has to be protected, there are many possibility in the area and climbing is just one of them!
